A match made in heaven

 Abisoye and I met at Nysc camp through mutual friends. Before we were introduced, I had seen her earlier in day at mami market purchasing a power bank and she looked overwhelmed.


I tried to get her attention but she walked right past me;didn't even notice me or look in my direction. Well, as fate would have it, we were formally introduced through friends that night. Most of her friends were in my platoon, so she would come over to hang and I always saved her a seat.

   IFrom the moment I met Posi, I knew our connection was something special. We had always known about each other and even had the same circle of friends.  I had been planning his 30th birthday surprise dinner for months because I wanted it to be perfect, he really deserved it. A few weeks to the birthday dinner, his younger sister convinced him to propose earlier and hinted that I was planning something for him and it would be a wonderful way to surprise me. I started to suspect literally all my friends because I’m able to pick on the tiniest detail but he managed to sell me another story about some other event happening on his birthday (the surprise party was set for the day before) and I believed he would propose on his actual birthday instead.
